American Institute of Physics
The American Institute of Physics is a not-for-profit corporation chartered in 1931 to provide publishing and distribution services for scientific and technical societies. AIP is the publisher or co-publisher of 11 journals, many with the highest citation ratings in their category, as well as Physics Today and the AIP Conference Proceedings Series. AIP's online publishing platform, Scitation, currently hosts more than 1,000,000 articles from more than 150 scholarly publications in fields including physics, chemistry, geology, engineering, acoustics, and other sciences.
American Physical Society
Founded in 1899, the American Physical Society's (APS) mission is to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics. In support of this mission, APS publishes primary research and review journals.
American Society of Civil Engineers
Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 140,000 civil engineers worldwide, and is America's oldest national engineering society. With a mission to advance professional knowledge and improve the practice of civil engineering, ASCE is a focal point for the development and transfer of research results, technical applications, and professional information. ASCE publications, programs and services foster this exchange of knowledge within the profession. American Society of Mechanical Engineers
Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization promoting the art, science and practice of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences. ASME develops codes and standards that enhance public safety, and provides lifelong learning and technical exchange opportunities benefiting the engineering and technology community.
American Vacuum Society
AVS is an international not-for-profit professional society founded in 1953 that promotes global communication between academia, government laboratories, and industry for the purpose of sharing research and development findings over a broad range of technologically relevant topics in the physical sciences and manufacturing areas. The Society promotes communication through its major annual symposium and related meetings and topical conferences held throughout the year. AVS publishes, through the American Institute of Physics (AIP), the prestigious Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology (JVST A and B), Surface Science Spectra (SSS), and the new open access Journal, Biointerphases. Our symposia, Journals, and technical monographs provide a venue for the dissemination of information in many areas of science and technology that enables a critical gateway for the rapid insertion of scientific breakthroughs into manufacturing realities.
AVS is organized into 10 technical divisions and 2 technical groups that embrace a range of established as well as emerging science and technology areas. Seventeen local-area and international chapters also promote communication and networking for professionals and students within a geographical region.
Audio Engineering Society
Formed in 1948 by a group of concerned audio engineers, the Audio Engineering Society counts over 14,000 members throughout the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Japan and the Far East. The AES serves as the pivotal force in the exchange and dissemination of technical information for the professional audio industry.
The Electrochemical Society
ECS is an international nonprofit, educational organization concerned with a broad range of phenomena relating to solid-state and electrochemical science and technology. Since 1902, ECS has enabled a progressive atmosphere for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, in both fundamental and applied aspects. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) is the world's largest technical professional society. Through its more than 370,000 members in 160 countries, the organization is a leading authority on a wide variety of areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power and consumer electronics. Dedicated to the advancement of technology, the IEEE publishes 30 percent of the world's literature in the electrical and electronics engineering and computer science fields, and has developed nearly 900 active industry standards. The organization also sponsors or co-sponsors over 450 international technical conferences each year.

Optical Society of America
